All make-up lessons are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Our class size is limited to 12 students per class.
- Contact our office to verify which class you actually missed.
- Get a list of days and times make-up lessons are available.
- Always call KDCP the day before to make sure the class schedule has not changed.
- Come at least 15 minutes early for your make-up class.
- Check in at Command Central as soon as you arrive.
- Wait for KDCP staff in Command Central to call your name and tell you which room to go to.
No. As soon as your classes start, you can attend the workshops.
The workshops are intended to review the concepts you are learning in your lessons and to give you more practice with them. You should attend workshops until you reach your score goal.
KD's recommendation is that after attending Verbal 3 and Math 3, you are ready to begin taking practice tests.
Absolutely NOT. Workshops are available at various times each week. For workshop calendars, click here. Just be on time and bring your KDCP ID card. Out of respect for those who promptly arrived, no one will be allowed to enter the workshop after it has begun.
We introduce new workshop material every Saturday and that material repeats throughout the weekend. In other words, don't go to a math workshop on Saturday morning AND Sunday afternoon; it will be the same material.
The week before a national test date, the workshop material changes daily Monday-Thursday. Check out the current workshop calendar for more details.
We make it easy for you to take a test. You can take a test any day we are open, but you must start the test at least 4 hours before we close in order to complete it. Remember to bring a calculator, a snack, and a bottle of water.
Before you start your test, you will select a time for an instructor-led test review. The review provides vital teacher input on any missed questions. You must attend an instructor-led review before you take additional practice tests to ensure that you are progressing.
We all learn from our mistakes...that's what a test review is all about. If you miss yours, it's important to make it up in one of the following ways:
- Find out if there is another upcoming review for the test you took at your campus.
- Contact another campus and find out if they have a review for the test you took
- Review via individual tutoring. The cost is $75 per hour for Complete Program students and the review usually takes 2-3 hours.
- Complete a "Make-Up Review". You will fill out a packet of information about the test and your strategies. It can take up to 6 hours to complete. Obviously, we recommend attending your original review or attending another instructor-led option.
If you are actively involved in the workshops and you're taking regular practice tests and attending the instructor-led reviews, you may not feel like you need additional help. If there's an area in which you want a little more focus, you want to review one of your tests individually, or a time constraint or learning difference concerns you, let us know. Individual tutoring can always be arranged for an additional hourly fee to help you feel more confident on the big test day.
We always say, "Test early, test often." That doesn't mean taking every test that is offered starting in your 9th grade year. As part of your Orientation and 10th and 11th grade Planning Seminars, we will help you develop your testing timeline. Your timeline will be affected by many factors, such as your high school courses, exam schedule, college choices, and score level, so it's wise to discuss your options with a KD director.
Use the vocabulary lab in conjunction with time you are at KD for other activities, such as your lessons or workshops. Plan to spend around 10-15 minutes per session. The first time you come to use the lab, just go to Command Central and check in. Our staff will show you how to log on to the lab exercises. We will keep track of the minutes you spend, as well as your performance in the lab.
It is important to write down unfamiliar words each time you work in the lab and study these words at home. The next time you log in, go back to the previous unit and see if you can get 100% correct. If you don't, try again next time.
Go to Command Central and have your picture taken and then pick up the ID the next time you are in the office. If you forgot your ID at home, then go to Command Central and get a Temporary ID. You will need your ID for workshops and to log in to the vocabulary lab.

First, you have to determine whether or not you need them. If you know that you do, we have practice SAT* Subject Tests for most test topics so you can identify your strongest subjects and consider those subjects for national test dates. Our Complete Program includes lessons for Math Level 1 and Level 2.
For more information on the lessons, click here.
Yes. If you begin our Complete Program prior to the 11th grade, you will participate in revised and updated curriculum once in each grade level through the 11th grade.
If you have not received the scores you need after taking the national tests in 11th grade, please contact us so we can schedule an evaluation for you. Based on your scores, activity, and goals, we will design a plan for you leading up to the 12th grade.
